Auch Will.i.am supportet Obama, er nahm Ausschnitte einer Rede von Obama, die dieser erst kürzlich hielt und kreierte einen Song daraus. Nicht ohne sich mit dutzenden Berühmt- und Schönheiten zu umgeben. Nebst Will.i.am sind auch darunter: John Legend, Common, Herbie Hancock, Tanyana Ali, Scarlett Johansson…

Will.i.am zu den Gründen, wieso er diesen Song aufgenommen hat und dieses Video dazu gedreht hat:

Später Abend, lange Stunden vor dem PC oder draussen, jedenfalls nirgends, wo man es sich richtig gemütlich machen könnte. Die Müdigkeit zuckt in den Augenlidern, lässt die Gähnmuskeln spielen. Ein leichtes Kratzen im Hals kündet von Überarbeitung. In solchen Momenten ist William Adams neuster Streich genau das Richtige. Man darf nichts Ausserordentliches erwarten, auch nicht allzu viel Hip Hop, owbohl man Songs About Girls deutlich anmerkt, dass es aus dieser Ecke stammt. Doch eine gewisse Leichtigkeit ist nicht zu verleugnen, und ab und an hat jeder solche Momente, da profane Lyrics über junge Ladies sehr wohltuend sind.

Kein Album, das man kaufen sollte. Aber wenn man’s hat, dann liegt man auch nicht falsch, es ein oder zwei Mal aufzulegen.
