Quite an impressive album. But don’t expect do find much hip hop on Pomegranate. It’s rather a rap album. Or, I should better say, you will have a hard time to find any hip hop beats, Astronautalis is rapping nonetheless. But rapping (And singing! Don’t fear, A. knows how to sing, unlike every other rapper I’ve ever heard trying.) over some sort of pop-rock-fusion. It’s alternative hip hop. Underground. And o so delicious!
