“There will be an element of classic, throwback R&B, but with a current twist. With this album I’m not only defining myself, but I’m defining people in my age group. It’s not necessarily an underground or overground thing, you just want to find the music that fits you and where you are in your life right about now. That’s what The Wonder Years is for me. Nicht viel, ausser vielleicht der eine oder andere Schluck heissen Punsch. Nun, über 9th Wonder braucht man sich nicht zu streiten. Seine Beats sind dope. Punkt. Buckshot hat keinen irrwitzigen, aber dennoch einen unverkennbaren, wunderbar angenehmen Flow. Dank den starken Soul-Einschlägen, dem Pianogeklimper und den Oldschool-Anleihen schmeckt Chemistry lecker nach Weihnachten. Kein Album, das man auf Heavy Rotation schalten möchte, aber dennoch eins, in das man sich auf der Stelle verlieben kann.
